This is an excellent method for improving your
eye-sight, which is ideal for the work
environment. The exercises can be used on a
day-to-day basis, while people are working at
their desks.
The exercises were created by Dr. William
H. Bates, a New York eye specialist about
100
years ago. He believed that by doing
daily eye exercises, the eyes become
stronger, healthier and are prevented from
being misused.
There are seven basic eye exercises that are used with the Bates Method. These are often combined with exercises in relaxation, memory, imagination and perception, which are used to improve the feedback between the eyes and the brain, allowing the eyes to function more normally.
This would be ideal for those at work suffering from eyestrain from prolonged computer use, and tension headaches.
For your Health Days our Bates Method practitioner can provide individual 15 or 30 minute sessions.
