The method was developed by an Australian
actor, Frederick Mattias Alexander, who
found that he could improve his vocal
performance by observing and changing
his posture. His discovery became the basis
for a whole technique for retraining the
body`s movement and positions.
Alexander Technique has brought striking improvements to conditions such as high blood pressure, respiratory disorders, breathing, depth of sleep, overall cheerfulness and mental alertness. As a result of improved posture, those who have benefited from the training actually become taller and stand more upright. The essence of the technique is to retrain how you deal with everday stress.
